In a momentous prelude to the much-anticipated inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the temple town with his presence on Saturday. The visit was marked by a series of significant events as the Prime Minister unveiled a multitude of development projects amounting to a staggering Rs 15,700 crore for Uttar Pradesh, with a substantial Rs 11,100 crore earmarked specifically for Ayodhya.
Commencing the day’s agenda, Modi inaugurated the revamped Ayodhya railway station, a symbolic precursor to the grander festivities to follow. At 11.15 am, the Prime Minister flagged off two Amrit Bharat trains and six Vande Bharat trains, enhancing the connectivity of the historic city.
The pinnacle of the visit was marked by the inauguration of the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at around 12.15 PM, a pivotal infrastructure development aimed at fostering accessibility to Ayodhya. The airport stands as a testament to the commitment to modernize and elevate the city’s profile on the global stage.
A significant milestone in the PM’s itinerary was the public address scheduled for 1 pm, where he addressed the gathered multitude, setting the tone for the forthcoming consecration ceremony of the temple idol on January 22. The public meeting served as a platform for Modi to underscore the importance of the developments and to rally support for the momentous occasion.
To further augment the pilgrimage experience and facilitate the influx of devotees, Modi inaugurated four newly redeveloped roads—Rampath, Bhaktipath, Dharampath, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path. These pathways are integral components of the comprehensive infrastructure overhaul in Ayodhya, aiming to accommodate the surge of visitors expected during the temple’s consecration.
The Prime Minister’s visit not only heralds a new era of development for Ayodhya but also galvanizes the Sangh Parivar’s outreach initiatives, both within India and beyond. As the countdown to the consecration ceremony ticks away, Ayodhya resonates with anticipation and zeal, symbolizing the convergence of tradition and progress on this historic occasion.
